Slack slack slack...
It's been a long time...anyone remember me?
Well, in a nutshell the last few months have been:
1) Emily is getting huge! Bought a bike seat so she loves going for rides...is getting very 'two' in her tantrum throwing....loves Bear in the Big Blue House and Playschool...had a big visit from Nanny from England....loves her 'birdie wings' (most kids play fairies...she plays birdies)...is trying heaps of new foods but you can't make her, she has to decide it herself...gives Mummy lots of cuddles!
2) Me: I'm on Tracy Ann's team!!! Now I have my two dream teams...TADA and 2 little pixels...started Tony Ferguson and have lost 2.5kg in the first week YAY....survived a visit from my MIL...

That'll do for now...

Thought I should post...
Been a bit slack here lately!
Don't really have much to say though!
Will return with more interesting stuff I promise! But here's my desktop for August, I love it! I made one back in January for the home computer and DH loved it and hassles me for a new one each month LOL - only thing is he wants it for his work computer too (he works in mining) so that cuts out the use of pink or anything too girly...this uses Shabby Miss Jenn stuff and a Heather Ann alpha, plus a DebF calendar. He gets lots of comments about his desktops, people love them, especially since they feature the most gorgeous cute subject in the world ;-)

The photo is from our weekend away last weekend, my first ever with friends instead of family and oh my, did we enjoy it! We rolled her jeans up so she could paddle in the water and she ended up going full on, and getting soaked, so we undressed her and she still kept going in! This might not sound like much, but this is the Southern Ocean...the one that comes off Antarctica...and it's the middle of winter! She's truly a water baby alright! Oh and....our friend taught me how to beach fish and I caught two fish! Which doubles my whole life's catch LOL and I'm hooked on fishing now.
Anywhoo...I'm off to edit some more pics to get printed for the MIL and grandparents...

In the blink of an eye...
All is well in our house again. The tooth broke through YAY! and my happy little girl is back. We just spent 5 minutes playing peekaboo (where she puts her hands over my eyes UNDER my glasses which I think is pretty clever!) and another 10 minutes playing hide and seek - my girl has figured out how to back into her cupboard so she can hold the door more closed, then while I'm looking for her she runs out and giggles hysterically! Oh so cute!
Off to the shops now, and a stop at the cafe for us too, as a treat!

Musings....
Emily has been constantly sick for three weeks. First it was a vomitting bug (which her father also got and don't men make the WORST sick patients!), then conjunctivitis, then another vomitting bug...we're over the vomitting but the constant whinging and crying continues. I really don't think I'm that good at this parenting thing, as I get so frustrated at all this!!! Other mum's seem to take it in their stride, whereas I'm ready to drop her off at the nearest child care facility for the day! Except I couldn't do it to her as she HATES being away from me right now...
So why, when I feel like this, are we contemplating a second child? Am I really up to the challenge of two? I love Emily with all my heart, and there are plenty of good moments too (like yesterday when she just stopped, looked up at me with a big grin and said 'Mama!' and gave me a kiss, just like that) and I know I will love two kids... I really do want more kids.... I just don't know how I"m going to deal with the days where they are both whingy all day!
When I was a kidlet, Mum used to ring Dad on the CB radio (we lived on a farm, and had radios in all the major vehicles as well as each house and the shed) and tell him it was 'time to check the sheep in the back paddock' LOL. This was code for GET THESE FREAKING KIDS OUT OF MY HAIR FOR AN HOUR OR ELSE!!!! And it worked quite well, as we loved riding in the ute (both in the front and the back, though riding in the back is illegal now!) and going all the way out to the farthest paddocks to see the sheep! So when we got back we were much happier and less whiney, and Mum had had a break too.
Wish we had a back paddock today...and a DH that could leave work at the drop of a hat!

Weeks two and three
Week 2: What is powerful to me?

Week 3: I am.
Emily I really struggled with this prompt! But I'm really happy with where it took me,

My layout style is quite clean, so this may come as a surprise to some people ROFL - digiscrapping is the only part of my life that has order!
Journalling: My house is always messy. I am always late. My beauty routine is almost non-existent, no facials or manicures for me, I’m lucky if I remember to moisturise! I leave the folding till there’s nothing left in the drawers, if we didn’t have a dishwasher we’d need to buy more plates. For future generations, my wish for you is this: I hope you get the neater genes from the other side, not from me!
